How to request deletion
- Use an in-app “Delete account” control if your app provides one.
- Alternatively, email dpo@appclabs.com with “Account and data deletion” in the subject.
- Include the app display name, iOS or Android, the email or sign-in provider associated with the account, and any app-user or purchase identifier available in the app. Never send your password or full payment-card details.
If the app does not use an account, you may still request deletion of server-side information that can reasonably be linked to you. Include approximate dates of use and any installation, app-user, support, or transaction identifier you have so we can locate it.
What deletion covers
After reasonable verification, we will delete or de-identify the account and personal information associated with it that AppCLabs controls, including applicable profile data, cloud-synced app content, stored preferences, support-linked identifiers, push tokens, and other server-side records that are not subject to a lawful retention exception. We will also instruct processors to delete covered data where required.
Data stored only on your device must be cleared with the app's controls, by clearing app storage, or by uninstalling the app. Device or cloud backups controlled by you or your platform provider are not deleted by an AppCLabs request. We will complete the request within the time required by applicable law and will ordinarily confirm the result by email.
What may remain
We may retain limited information when necessary to comply with tax, accounting, consumer-protection, fraud-prevention, security, dispute, or other legal obligations; establish or defend legal claims; document the request; or preserve information already de-identified. Backup copies may remain until the ordinary secure-overwrite cycle. We will restrict retained information to the applicable purpose and delete it when that purpose expires.
OpenAI and other providers may retain information under their own lawful retention rules as described in our Privacy Policy. AppCLabs will pass deletion instructions to a processor when legally required and technically possible, but cannot delete data held by a separate controller such as an app store.
